Miguel graduated in 2011 from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia for Illustration. He has worked with publishers like Tanglewood Press, newspapers like The New York Times, and magazines like Las Vegas Weekly. He was born in the Philippines and moved the the U.S. when he was eleven years old. He now lives in South Philadelphia, close to where he graduated from, mostly because he prefers to bike than to drive around.  Being a quiet child, Miguel found ways to express himself through drawings on the back of used printer paper his dad would always bring home. Today, he draws inspiration from the little things in life: food, videogames, nature/animals, friends, and his gardener-girlfriend.
